Is CBD Legal?
We have spoken about this topic quite a bit, as it is one of the cornerstones of our product development philosophy. This also continues to be a key headline grabber in the news, with recent examples highlighted below.
The legality of CBD is determined in short by one key ingredient and that is THC. Before diving into more detail I will insert a spoiler here in regards to our product lines and that is they all contain 0% THC and are 100% legal in all 50 states.
Unfortunately, a lot of marketing has been done to promote cheap products to create a market for ‘full spectrum’ products containing THC without the buyer knowing they are buying illegal CBD products with the assumption if you can order it, it must be legal.
This has been doubled down by claims such as rounding the marketing to say 0% and then in fine print saying it is less than 0.3%, which is low enough to be considered legal. While that can technically be true at the state level in some areas, it is not legal on the federal level which is usually what comes in to effect when your product is being shipped across state lines or if you were to travel through an airport or similar security checkpoint.
Do you want to risk your product being confiscated traversing state lines and potentially risk breaking federal laws, all in the name of saving a few dollars on a product produced in a cheaper manner so it contains THC. The other downside to this production method is each batch of CBD is different from the last and you get an inconsistency from order to order.
We utilize a state of the art production line which we own and control from the farm to the final product. We ensure truly 0% THC by using a process similar to what produces bottled water with reverse osmosis. It ensures we remove all materials we do not want in the final product with 100% accuracy, it also guarantees every single batch of our CBD meets the exact same specifications every single time.
Every batch of our CBD is tested to ensure the correct amount of CBD concentration and truly 0% THC is in the final product.
If you are unsure about what you are about to order make sure to reach out to your vendor and request a copy of a lab report which shows the actual THC levels, and that they only show one number in all decimal places which is 0.
